Connect a WhatsApp Business number to BotSkyrik using Meta’s guided setup. Learn the prerequisites, choose how your number should be registered, add a new phone number, and complete phone verification.

Connect WhatsApp with Meta

BotSkyrik supports several ways to connect WhatsApp, depending on how your business currently uses the channel and how much control you need over the connection. When you open Channels → WhatsApp, the connection area presents three options: Connect with Meta, WhatsApp Business App, and Manual Setup.

Connect with Meta is the recommended option and is the method covered in this guide. It uses Meta's guided onboarding process, so you sign in with Meta and complete the WhatsApp Business setup without manually copying access tokens, App Secrets, phone-number IDs, or other technical credentials into BotSkyrik.

The WhatsApp Business App option is designed for businesses that want to keep using the same number inside the WhatsApp Business mobile app while also connecting it to BotSkyrik through Meta's coexistence setup. Manual Setup is the advanced option for businesses that want to connect using their own Meta credentials. Those two methods are covered separately so this guide can stay focused on the standard Meta connection.

Before You Connect

Before selecting Continue with Meta, make sure you have access to the Meta Business account you want to use and that the phone number you plan to register is ready for the WhatsApp Business Platform.

For this connection method, the phone number should not currently be active in the regular WhatsApp app or the WhatsApp Business mobile app. If the number is already being used there, remove or disconnect it from that app first and then return to BotSkyrik to begin the connection again.

This requirement is important because Meta cannot complete the normal registration process while the same number is still registered for ordinary app use. If you specifically want to keep the number active inside the WhatsApp Business app, use BotSkyrik's separate WhatsApp Business App connection method instead of this one.

Once the number is ready, select Continue with Meta.

Continue Through Meta

BotSkyrik opens Meta's official onboarding window. You may be asked to sign in to Facebook or confirm the Meta account you are currently using. Meta then shows the business onboarding information and the permissions required to connect WhatsApp Business with BotSkyrik.

Review the information shown by Meta and select Continue in the bottom-right corner.

Choose How You Want to Add the WhatsApp Number

The next Meta screen asks how you want to be identified when sending WhatsApp messages.

At this stage, Meta can present several choices. You may enter a new phone number, use a display name with a virtual number, or select an eligible phone number that is already registered with the Meta business assets available to the account.

Add a New Phone Number

Select Enter a new phone number. Meta then asks for the country and the phone number you want to register.

Choose the correct country code first, enter the phone number, and then select how you would like to receive the verification code. Depending on the number and Meta's available verification options, you can normally choose Text message or Phone call.

Enter a phone number that you can access immediately because Meta will use it to confirm that you control the number.

This is also the point where the earlier prerequisite matters most. If the phone number is still registered in WhatsApp or the WhatsApp Business mobile app under a setup that is not eligible for this connection method, Meta may prevent the registration from continuing. In that case, remove the number from the existing app registration first and then restart or retry the connection.

Once the country code, phone number, and verification method are correct, select Next.
